About the Author
H. Scott Fogler is the Vennema Professor of Chemical Engineering and Thurnau Professor at the University of Michigan, and a past president of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He has chaired ASEE's Chemical Engineering Division and earned the Warren K. Lewis Award from AIChE for contributions to chemical engineering education and the 2010 Malcom E. Pruitt Award from the Council for Chemical Research. He is the author of the classic Elements of Chemical Reaction Engineering, Fourth Edition (Prentice Hall, 2006), and Essentials of Chemical Reaction Engineering (Prentice Hall, 2011). Steven E. LeBlanc is executive associate dean for academic affairs and professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Toledo. He has served as the chairman of the ASEE Chemical Engineering Division and as a co-chair of the 2007 ASEE Chemical Engineering Summer School for Faculty. Benjamin R. Rizzo is a chemical engineering graduate of the University of Michigan and currently is a production engineer for Shell Oil, working on Unconventional Reservoir Optimization.

I really liked this text book and it broke down processes very well. I rented it for my class and really wish I would have been able to buy it because it is definitely handy to refer to for problem solving techniques.
Needed it for school and worked well for the quarter
I love this book. I took a class in college that used it (one of the author's was my professor). It is not a textbook, but not a novel. It is something in the middle with lots of real world examples.

I like this course book, and I wish it were available in ePub or some other electronic format. One star off for no eBook ​not even offered from the book purchaser via a publisher bundle. Hello, it is 2016!!!
I expected this to be more difficult to follow being based on Engineering. However, they keep it interesting with examples.
Returned this book after I was done with the class, only to find out that I needed it to help make some difficult choices after getting my degree.If you can find it used, don't pass it up!!! If you can't...seriously consider buying it because sometimes your decision making process is woefully lacking and it's best to have some other methodology available.
If you have to buy this book for a class get a used copy then sell it as soon as possible. It was an absolute waste of time. I wish I could give it ZERO stars.
